In the Customs Laboratory within the Ankara Laboratory Directorate, laboratory examination and identification of the goods’ kind, tye and quality for the implementation of Turkish Customs Tariff Schedule or exemption provisions, physical and chemical analyzes in order to detect the composition of the goods for the determination of customs duties or additional financial obligations, laboratory analysis and determination of the the nature of the goods for the implementation of prohibition and restriction provisions according to the rules established by the Foreign Trade Regime, establishing scientific and technical basis for the implementation of the legislations of customs and indirects tax administrations and other analyzes required by the Administration are carried out.
Customs Laboratory serves with its Laboratory Technical Departments consisting of five units including Quality Management Unit, Sample Acceptance Unit, Purchasing Unit, Training Unit, Document Registration and Editorial Unit and Basic Chemistry-Polymer, Metal, Food, Paper-Textile and Petroleum laboratory.
The importer or its representative can carry out its operations in Ankara Laboratory located at our base in the transactions requiring analysis.
